Education

Thomas von Nordheim has been teaching at London College of Fashion since 2004, where he established unique short courses on couture tailoring, vintage sewing techniques and specialised millinery, which continue to attract students from all over the world. He also supervised an annual tailoring project at The Royal College of Art in London for a number of years.

His tailor made education has lately been appreciated by the costume conservation department at Hampton Court Palace where he delivered a seminar and six lectures in late 2012 on deriving patterns from exhibits from the Historical Royal Palaces Dress Collection. These included a garment worn by King Charles I and several outfits that had belonged to Queen Victoria, shown in a picture here.
